After my smoothie fail yesterday, I decided to play it safe today and make one of my favorite comfort smoothies: cinnamon roll smoothie. This smoothie taste like dessert. It is creamy, thick, and if you enjoy cinnamon rolls, this smoothie is a great way to get your fix.
This cinnamon roll smoothie is easy to make and even easier to drink. I’ve been making this one for about a year now and I come back to it again and again when I need a sweet tooth craving met. It’s not packed with superfoods or greens. It’s simple, has complex carbs, fiber, and still manages to pack a nutritional punch of vitamins A and K. I highly recommend this one.
- ½ cup macadamia milk
- 1 spotty banana (or 1 frozen banana to omit use of ice)
- 1/3 cup oats
- 3 pitted dates
- 2 tablespoons golden ground flax
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup ice (if using a fresh banana)
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy immediately. Feel free to garnish with oats and more cinnamon. A fancy presentation makes a fancy drinking experience after-all.
